Mission
Statement
WINGS is an all volunteer organization serving persons affected by HIV/AIDS. We support life through social, cultural, emotional, educational and recreational activities in a compassionate, empathetic, safe and healthy atmosphere.
Advances in HIV treatment over the past decade
have transformed HIV-infection from a fatal diagnosis into a manageable chronic
illness. Despite these dramatic advances, the social aspect of the illness including the stigma of HIV continues to threaten the emotional, mental, and
physical well-being of persons living with HIV/AIDS.
